Piedmont Arts announced that Bernadette Moore has returned to the team. As she resumes her role as Director of Exhibitions and Marketing, staff express their excitement and appreciation. “Her incredible talent and longstanding dedication have been key to our success,” said Heidi Pinkston, executive director of Piedmont Arts. “Having her rejoin the team is a tremendous boost for the entire organization. Her return brings a renewed sense of energy and creativity that will undoubtedly elevate the work we do and enhance the experiences we offer to the community.”
Moore worked at Piedmont Arts for 17 years before she and her husband Eric moved to Woodlawn, Va., to be closer to family. She is thrilled to be able to return to her passion of curating and arts marketing with what she calls “the greatest team and museum in the world.”
“I am so excited to return to Piedmont Arts! I’ve missed working with the staff and the amazing artists in our region to create impactful and memorable exhibitions,” Moore said. “The coming year is full of amazing opportunities to experience the arts in MHC and I hope everyone in the community will come out and share these experiences with us. I can’t wait to see you.”
The newest exhibit under her direction, “The Art of the Quilt,” opened on Nov. 8. This biennial exhibit features works by over 60 regional artists and will be on display until Saturday, Jan. 11.
