The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Narcotics Interdiction Unit, and SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant on Monday, Sept. 30, at 571 Figsboro Road in Martinsville. During the search, deputies seized a substance suspected to be methamphetamine along with a white, crystal-like powder. Both substances will be sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science for further analysis.
Tara Noelle Colemon, 32, who was inside the residence, was arrested during the operation. Colemon had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court in Henry County. On Monday, she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear in court, according to a release.
The investigation remains ongoing. The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards of up to $2,500 for tips related to crimes, with the reward amount depending on the nature of the crime and the value of the information provided.
