HENRY COUNTY, VA – A student was arrested on Friday for sending a bomb threat via social media at Laurel Park Middle School.
The recipient reported the threatening message to authorities.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office said it worked together with school officials to ensure the students and staff were safe.
The threat was investigated, the suspect confessed it was a hoax and there was never a threat to students, according to the sheriff’s office.
