SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE, VA – The search for two people missing after a boat capsized on Monday in Smith Mountain Lake is now a recovery mission, not a rescue, authorities said.
Around 3 p.m., responders were called to the lake in the area of Marker R6 and the Anthony Ford boat ramp in Penhook for a report of two boaters on top of a capsized boat.
