After the announcement of the SEED Fund, staff from the city and county’s schools joined with Harvest Foundation and P&HCC representatives to plant a dogwood tree, symbolizing a promise to this year’s kindergarten students. A plaque erected alongside the tree read, in part, “This tree’s growth will represent the impact the decade-long commitment to college attainment will have on our community.”
