The Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at Virginia 57 and Stone Drive at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 24.
A 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass was traveling west on Virginia 57 when it ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
The driver, Rhonda K. Phillips, 62, of Bassett, Va., died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
