The Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Center and Museum will be open special holiday hours, from 1-4 p.m. both days. The Museum will be closed to the public on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Wednesday, December 30
The community and visitors are invited to visit the Smith River Sports Complex every Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. for adult pick up soccer. There is no fee to play. The event is presented by Dr. Chan M. Park Family Practice.
Friday, January 1
Fairy Stone State Park, First Day Hike, a self-guided hike from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., on any of the 17 miles of trails at Fairy Stone State Park. Grab a geocaching brochure from the office or use the official Geocaching.com app to locate the caches. Parking fees are waived for the day.
