Piedmont Arts: For the third year, Piedmont Arts will host a Christmas tree lighting in the Gravely-Lester Art Garden. Join the museum for hot chocolate, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa. Just like the sculptures in its Art Garden, the museum’s Christmas tree will be a work of art. Created by Ian Hogg using lights strung on wire, the tree will be lit at sunset on December 3 and brighten the Art Garden through New Year’s Day. YMCA: Miles in Martinsville and the Martinsville-Henry County Family YMCA, is pleased to announce the running of the Light Up The Night 5K, starting at 4 p.m. Runners are strongly encouraged to register online prior to December 4 at www.milesinmartinsville.com.
